Treasuring Lives
Remember the promotion for Mission Possible Conference where youth are gathered to fight against AIDS/HIV? Here's another event... As you can see from the poster, there will be a charity dinner. If you're interested, do contact the person as stated in the poster or simply check this site out for more information.
Together, we can make a difference.
p/s: 11th May is also Mother's Day...

World Lupus Day 2008
As some of you may know, I am working on a mini charity project for World Lupus Day. A photography competition is held and the task is to capture Anything Butterfly. Those who wish to participate can check out this site for more information. [Sorry for the late notice].
A group of us have come up with an idea to make a Butterfly formation in the atrium. Those who wish to participate may do so but let either me/Navin know in advance so that we can colour code you guys. At the moment, we do not know how many people are needed for this formation. Do note that IF there are too many people, then not everyone will be part of the formation. We will, however, try to fit in as many as possible.
The aim of this project is to raise awareness among the people about Lupus. Do you know what it is and what it does? How about the significance of the Butterfly?

Something from my Pictures folder
I was very very very bored (despite having exams which is really really near)!! So I went though my Pictures folder and found..
First day of Uni life.... ME1/08 AND DT1/08 registration day..
It was also the most formal day for us... I wonder why...
This was what I saw hanging at the notice board near the escalator on my first day...
I will always remember the Pampers group... ONEDERS... Diaper on the head!!! Thank goodness I only had to wear my nametag on my arm. Phew~
Dry ice breakers...Blindfold game... lame game actually... but I enjoyed looking at the blindfolded people...
The Devil!!!
Punishment! Play dead!
And soon came the First Aid 'test'. (which I knew was fake and tried to tell everyone that it was fake and don't study to much cos it's fake...but they never listened...)
Scary Canadian 'Dean' - Leslie.
Everyone very prepared for the 'exam'. Except me, of course...
I even took picture in there... My paper...
Remember the cheaters?? ALL SENIORS LA...
Then came the wet ice breakers...
Then treasure hunt...
Then the scoreboard (I still don't know what position my group is at till now..)
Then, telematch..
Then, variety night~~
I will follow you...
Then finale night...
Then came, 'BUY A SLAVE!!'
And the Go Green Campaign... This is Elvyna if you don't already know (sorry Elvyna..hehehee...). This was the 'thing' she wore that got the first prize...RM250... I'm still waiting for your treat!!! But I think the 'clothe' she wore was more in the Avant Garde category, which caught the judges attention? Or is the model the pretty one?? Hehehehe...
Then came the Charity home visit... KorWoi's Rasa Sayang dance...
Guardians and their responsibilty...
Superheroes or villians??
I wish I had pizza... We only got nasi lemak...
Taking a picture of a person (Victor) taking a picture of a person (Jenan) mopping...
Colouring contest...
Then, came blood donation drive...
Dental students got the highest percentage!!! Yea!! ME1/08 not bad also lar.... Try again next time...
Then there was Dance Competition! I'm supporting my batchmates, medic or dental, it doesn't matter!! Slideout!!
This is how bored I am... haha...
Time goes by so FAST. And it's already 2 months of IMU life... Cherish EVERY moment...

Nice, Fun & Odd
Hey medt108,
I'm Cecilia :) I know most of your or majority of you will be like, "what?? who???" well I'm one of those pseudo-nerds or maybe a nerd wannabe that sits all the way in front during lectures. I'm doing dentistry *smiles widely to show teeth* and I'm so glad I'm doing it, cus it's really fun and stuff hahaha but it's really stressful cus we have heaps of stuff to study. Who doesn't right?
Aren't you all really tired and bored and like stressed out?? I totally reckon that we should have some excitement in our lives.
Anyways.. how's everyone finding IMU? Nice? Fun? Odd? I think it's a combination of all 3. It's nice cus it's filled with nice and very sexy people. It's Fun cus there's so many things going on like IMU idol and e.t.c. Finally, it's odd cus there are no tutorials. Every thing's independent learning. We might as well pay them our school fees, stay at home and study and come 6 months later for our semester exams hahaha oh and come every Tuesdays to attend PBLs. It's really odd that they have no tutes here. I used to have tutes and lectures in college and lab sessions every week, even with those lab sessions every week, I'm still a sucker when it comes to finding RBCs on the microscope. The first wet lab I had, I had to get the lecturer to find it for me. The 2nd one, I got one of my friends, FAMOUS AMOS to find it for me. It's amazing isn't it, how Amos can be famous.. it's soo cliche.. cus even the cookie store is called Famous Amos.
But yea.. oh and it's odd cus they're dismantling the escalators. Isn't that like expensive??? Like why do they want to safe electricity for? Save the planet??? But we'll have to use our energy and then by the time we walked up to LT1 we'll become hungry than after the first lecture we run down to the cafeteria to grab a bite and run back up, the the time we run back up, we'll feel hungry again, then we'll come down again to have an early lunch. Then the cafeteria will run out of food and they'll have to order it from their supplier, who'll have to kill chicken lar.. fish lar until they run out.. you see everyone's been running down to the cafeteria so much, till lately there's been no chicken rice for like almost 2-3 weeks!! SEEE they've run out of chickens to kill!!
This must be why there's been no more chicken rice lately!!!
Ok till next time..
toodles!!!
Love,
Cecilia Y.
p/s: Have fun in lectures tomorrow!!

Hello All =D
It certainly has been a while since I've come back to blogger. I used to blog oodles on this platform once upon a time and now, it feels like homecoming! =D
Alright, drama aside, I shall truly immerse myself in the opportunist that is me and proceed with my first post here that will take the form of an. . .
AD! =D
Yes folks, I have a printer to sell! It's a Lexmark colour printer, and it's going for RM80. The price is negotiable and it's brand new, still sealed, as you can see from the picture. Mind you, my 6MP camera was outta juice so bear with the low resolutions a 2MP camera phone can provide ye folks. It doesn't come with ink, but Lexmark ink catridges aren't hard to find.
Now, I know you people need printers to print out lecture notes. And well, if you think it's too pricey, well SHARE then! Get your roomies, homies and put together cash to get this exquisite Apple-wannabe Lexmark printer! Nice, glossy and white, you never have to worry about photocopying notes ever!
So invest wisely and purchase the damn thing already! =D
My contact number's - 0123926052
Alright, opportunist moment over. I part ye all with words of wisdom in Latin - just for the fun of it. . .
"Amicule, deliciae, num is sum qui mentiar tibi?"
Which translates to. . .
"Baby, sweetheart, would I lie to you?"
Toodles! =P

About the Student's Corner
This corner is for you to write about anything you want as long as it does not defame IMU in any way. You can write your opinions about the events happening in IMU, the friends you made or even something funny. Lame jokes or whatever it is, feel free to write them down in this blog. If you have any dissatisfaction, voice out too! After all, it is the Student's Corner.
